Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband
1 Corinthians 7:2
ONE DILEMMA OF GIRLS IN A SOCIETY PRACTICING THE BIG BIG LIE OF SHOULD BE MONOGAMY FOR ALL MEN-becoming spinsters especially if they are ugly ducklings with no other positive traits which if the Biblical Laws of God on plural marriage were just in placed all of these needless griefs & suffering would have been vanished or put in a minimum. That is the trouble when men tampers with God’s Laws. Here is a song of a girl victimized by the Big Big Lie…listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvvizuU8tYE
“AT SEVENTEEN”
By Janis Ian
I learned the truth at seventeen
That love was meant for beauty queens
And high school girls with clear skinned smiles
Who married young and then retired
The valentines I never knew
The Friday night charades of youth
Were spent on one more beautiful
At seventeen I learned the truth…
That love was meant for beauty queens
And high school girls with clear skinned smiles
Who married young and then retired
The valentines I never knew
The Friday night charades of youth
Were spent on one more beautiful
At seventeen I learned the truth…
And those of us with ravaged faces
Lacking in the social graces
Desperately remained at home
Inventing lovers on the phone
Who called to say “come dance with me”
And murmured vague obscenities
It isn’t all it seems at seventeen…
Lacking in the social graces
Desperately remained at home
Inventing lovers on the phone
Who called to say “come dance with me”
And murmured vague obscenities
It isn’t all it seems at seventeen…
A brown eyed girl in hand me downs
Whose name I never could pronounce
Said: “Pity please the ones who serve
They only get what they deserve”
The rich relationed hometown queen
Marries into what she needs
With a guarantee of company
And haven for the elderly…
Whose name I never could pronounce
Said: “Pity please the ones who serve
They only get what they deserve”
The rich relationed hometown queen
Marries into what she needs
With a guarantee of company
And haven for the elderly…
So remember those who win the game
Lose the love they sought to gain
In debitures of quality and dubious integrity
Their small-town eyes will gape at you
In dull surprise when payment due
Exceeds accounts received at seventeen…
Lose the love they sought to gain
In debitures of quality and dubious integrity
Their small-town eyes will gape at you
In dull surprise when payment due
Exceeds accounts received at seventeen…
To those of us who knew the pain
Of valentines that never came
And those whose names were never called
When choosing sides for basketball
It was long ago and far away
the world was younger than today
when dreams were all they gave for free
to ugly duckling girls like me…
Of valentines that never came
And those whose names were never called
When choosing sides for basketball
It was long ago and far away
the world was younger than today
when dreams were all they gave for free
to ugly duckling girls like me…
We all play the game, and when we dare
We cheat ourselves at solitaire
Inventing lovers on the phone
Repenting other lives unknown
That call and say: “Come on, dance with me”
And murmur vague obscenities
At ugly girls like me, at seventeen…
We cheat ourselves at solitaire
Inventing lovers on the phone
Repenting other lives unknown
That call and say: “Come on, dance with me”
And murmur vague obscenities
At ugly girls like me, at seventeen…
It is December 2011 many hundred of years from the changed that was made on the Laws of God on marriage, so the Saint thought. And as he pondered on the ill effects that the changed had caused on society, he also thought of his situation and that of his wives!
As his first wife laid peacefully on his arm in his home, he thought about his second wife just kilometers away. She was alone with her mother and relatives. She was hurrying to find another home for her mother was old and her brothers and sisters had their own families. She had chosen him a married man from her many suitors for she know he was responsible and caring. Although he was married, she opted for him despite his age; rejecting younger men and risking shame and her dignity in the process. Why? She was the only one who knew her reasons.
The Saint wanted to take his second wife home, but in Christendom, it was TABOO! His first wife vehemently opposed even just the idea of having a second one, brainwashed by the society they have lived in.So he look to the idea to the 2nd kind of set-up but he knew too of the expense of maintaining two household and he cannot afford it. In his country the rich maintains several households under several wives with this kind of set-up; but he was poor and his second wife was poor…so the problem. If it was not taboo he could easily afford it with the first kind of set-up.
The Saint thought of his 2nd wife and the rest of the women in the same predicament. As tears fell down on his eyes as it had fallen hundred of times for the daughters of his people-he resolved even more- to fight for them!He quoted with the Lord Jesus the Word of God:
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;”
